Olá!

OOo4Kids, (pronuncia-se "OpenOffice for Kids"), é um projeto em 
andamento, focado em crianças entre 7 e 12 anos. Baseado no código do  
OpenOffice.org, mas bastante simplificado.
Isto significa, que o  OpenOffice.org tem características que o OOo4Kids 
não terá. Caso você precise destas características, use o 
OpenOffice.org, que você pode obter em 
http://download.openoffice.org/index.html

Aquele que desejar testar o OOo4Kids, numa versão ainda em 
desenvolvimento estável mas não completa (0.5), pode obte-la em

Este site é provido por TuxServices ( http://www.tuxservices.com  ), e 
mantido por  Nicolas Jeudy e Ben Bois. Se você gostar de nosso trabalho, 
considere nos ajudar, com doações ou trabalho, através da ONG EducOOo ( 
http://www.educoo.org ), que mantém o OOo4Kids.

Antes de usar o OOo4Kids, você deve fazer um backup de seus documentos, 
e você NÃO deve usa-lo em ambiente de produção.

Sistemas operacionais:

- OOo4Kids para Windows (XP mini) : O instalador está embutido. Siga as 
instruções para utiliza-lo.

Problemas conhecidos: OOo4Kids funciona perfeitamente em paralelo com o 
OpenOffice.org, mas a associação dos arquivos, segue a ordem daquele que 
foi instalado por ultimo. Caso você deseje associar seus documentos com 
o OpenOffice.org, após instalar o OOo4Kids, reinstale o OpenOffice.org.

- Mac OS X (Intel e PowerPC) : Instala e funciona perfeitamente em 
paralelo com o OpenOffice.org.

Um duplo clique sobre o arquivo de download, vai montar a imagem de 
disco. Para instalar o software, coloque o ícone do OOo4Kids na pasta de 
Applicações.

As preferências estarão em ~/Library/Application Support/OOo4Kids. Se 
você encontrar problemas, ou se você deseja remover o OOo4Kids, 
simplesmente jogue a pasta de preferências no lixo.

- Linux Intel : Disponibilizado em .tar.gz até que possamos entregar 
pacotes deb e rpm corretamente.  : Descompacte o arquivo, e coloque-o em 
seu diretório pessoal. Localize o script "soffice" e clique nele duas 
vezes para iniciar o software.

Outras versões (Linux PowerPC and Mips 32bits) estarão disponíveis logo, 
e você pode nos contactar caso focê deseje testar uma versão mais antiga.

IMPORTANTE : Por favor, reporte qualquer erro na lista 
dev em listes.educoo.org (http://listes.educoo.org/mailman/listinfo/dev ).

Pot último, mas não menos importante, lembre-se que este software está 
em constante desenvolvimento, e existe riscos, como qualquer outro

Hello,

OOo4Kids, (pronounce "OpenOffice for Kids") is a software (work in

For the one who would like to test OOo4Kids, for instance a development 
version, 0.5, already very stable but not complete, it is now possible 
to download it at the URL :

Before to use OOo4Kids, you must make a backup of your documents, and 
you must NOT use OOo4Kids in production.

For the Operating Systems / processors :

- OOo4Kids for Windows (XP mini) : the installer is included. Follow the 
instructions and launch OOo4Kids.

Known issues: OOo4Kids works perfectly in parallel with OpenOffice.org. 
But the last installed between them, will beneficiate of the file 
association. Thus, if you want to open office documents with 
OpenOffice.org, doube clicking on them, think to reinstall 
OpenOffice.org *after* you have installed OOo4Kids

- Mac OS X (Intel and PowerPC) : Installs and works perfectly in 
parallel with OpenOffice.org.

A double clic on the downloaded archive, will automatically mount the 
disk image. To install the software, drop the OOo4Kids icon in the 
Applications folder (strongly suggested).Then Dock the icon, and click 
to launch OOo4Kids. The preferences will be located in the 
~/Library/Application Support/OOo4Kids folder. If you encounter problem, 
or simply if you want to remove OOo4Kids (after you trashed the Bundle 
too, of course), just trash the prefs folder.

- Linux Intel : until we'll be able to provide correct .debs and/or 
.rpm, the Linux version will be provided as preinstalled .tar.gz  : 
uncompress the archive, and put the content in your personnal folder. 
Then search the soffice script, and ouble click on it will launch 
OOo4Kids. Once you verified it works correctly, create a launcher.


For the other versions (Linux PowerPC and Mips 32bits), they will be 
online very soon, and you can contact us if you want to test an older 
version.
