[GUFSC] XFree86 não parte. ** Ja testou o driver "nv" **

Olha Antonio,

Pelo que vi vc esta tentando usar o driver da Nvidia,
neste caso o prob não é no Xfreee, nem no acpi nem apic,
é porque o driver na nvidia nao esta carregando.
Vc ja testou com o driver "nv¨  do proprio Xfree?
Pois sao dois problemas diferentes.
Se o "nv" funcionar legal, e o problema for com o driver "nvidia"
as seguintes situações causam problemas
1--> o driver nvidia instalado não for o para o kernel em uso "uname 
-r"  solução item 4:
        
2--> ter dois kernels instalados com nomes proximos tipo 
kernel-2.6.4-mdkcustom e kernel-2.6.4-mdk olhe no /lib/modules
        remover os kernels que nao estao em uso e reinstalar o driver da 
nvidia (item 4)
        remover os /lib/modules/pagar
       
3--> erro no modprobe.conf  e modules.conf, solução: em ambos deve constar:
       alias /dev/nvidia*  nvidia
ou
       alias /dev/nvidia        nvidia
       alias /dev/nvidiactl    nvidia

4--> instalando o driver da nvidia
         desinstale o rpm da NVDIA caso ouver
         baixar e instalar o driver do site da nvidia
         -- depois de baixar vc da boot no modo texto e como root
              instale o driver "sh NVIDIA ...."
          se nao instalar verifique  item 2
           se instalar, chame "startx" para testar, se não carregar 
verifique item 2 e 3
          alem do site apos instalar vc pode ler o README  com "less 
/usr/share/doc/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0/README"
       
 
*** caso o "nv" esteja funcionando, depois de baixar o driver do site da 
nvidia, desabilite o boot no modo grafico
*** com Painel de Controle/Hardware/Servidor Grafico/Opcoes
*** reiniciar, logar como root e instalar o driver
