Olah,

A Mandrake jah lancou a correcao (uma nova versao do kernel) e lancara
novos ISOs jah corrigidos.

Pelo que parece, a culpa eh da LG que nao implementou corretamente a
funcao FLUSH_CACHE em alguns dispositivos, sendo que em dispositivos que
nao possuem essa funcao implementada, simplesmente nao acontece nada, mas
no caso de alguns dispositivos da LG qdo a FLUSH_CACHE eh chamada ocorre
um sobreescrita no firmware do dispositivo, inutilizando o mesmo.

"This is because LG CD-ROM drives are not compliant with the ATAPI
specification. The specification does not require an implementation of
the FLUSH_CACHE command in the driver, and returning an error (or doing
nothing) would have been the correct behaviour for the drive. Likewise,
reusing a command is against the specification and LG has reused the
FLUSH_CACHE command to modify the firmware of the drive, but they are
unwilling to disclose exactly what the command does."


Parece que eh possivel recuperar os dispositivos, porem soh enviando para
a LG.
